This is the method we use to get rid of unwanted removable icons
First right click “my computer” choose manage, click disk management, look for the icons that you want to delete, right click the drive you want to dump, choose change drive letters and paths, click remove. Double check to make sure you choose the removable disk and not your usual default drives.
