Houdini 10: Making use of the Triangulate 2D SOP
Tonight I have been investigating the Triangulate 2D SOP in Houdini 10. I have been reading about this SOP, and wanted to try it out to generate a triangular mesh that I could then use to create 3D geometry.
I got a few different tweaked results with different paramers of Triangulate 2D.
Next, time to do something interesting with this. I added some fractal magic to this to create geometry based on the above triangles. Then I made a quick render of the result. I noticed that there are more dense areas and more sparse areas; down to the Triangulation.
