Pale White Guy Animated Music Video 1 - Sundstedt Animation

The Challenge

We worked directly with Bryan at Chillout Records. He provided the basic idea & script for this video. He asked us to freely design the characters and animate the official music video for the Pale White Guy debut single ‘Live (Best Things In Life Are Free)’, with references to some well known music videos and with ideas for the main character (singer) inspired by well know artists such as Bowie and Prince, and other celebs as inspiration for some of the other characters, including Donald Trump.

The Solution

Based on the script and ideas for the video, we created a storyboard for the music video. But before this, we created all the character designs and prepared them for animation. A lot of work was put into the character concept and design and we even re-designed several of the already completed and approved characters, because we did not want them to be too similar to well-known celebrities. So we re-designed a few of them again from scratch and changed the clothing and looks as well. Last but not least we animated and directed the whole video based on the script and storyboard, but we directed all the shots and added new additional shots to make the video more interesting.
