Creating an original animated music video completely dominates my schedule from weeks to a couple of months. My costs depend quite heavily on the amount of detail, the complexity, the length and timeframe of the video I’m making. To give you a rough idea of how this might translate into different projects, here are some ballpark estimated ranges for my different services for artists:

We can discuss the best options based on your song, your budget and your preference. A full animated music video, animated lyric video, or a looping animation. Another option is a handcrafted album/single artwork (digital only).

What if you don’t have £1,495 (or more) Per Minute for a premium 2D animated music video created from scratch?

Please note that Animated Videos in the the £2,300 – £5,780 ($2,740 – $6,885) Per Minute range is considered to be low budget in the industry. Our prices are already lower, even though our videos are handcrafted, made from scratch and keep winning awards for “Best Music Video” in many international film festivals, year after year.

With a smaller budget, one or more 10-20 second looping animations may be ideal for you. It can be used for many things, including as a teaser for a new song, EP or album on social media, including Instagram and YouTube. It can even be your official animated music video, since it has one or more beautiful looping animated illustrations that are seamlessly looped for the duration of the song. To make it more varied, we can even do some camera close-up shots. For examples of this, please check out our “Looping 2D / Animation” links above. We can also make a more subtly animated looping illustration with only some moving elements. You get the point. Once we know your budget range, we can see what we may be able to provide to help you.

Testimonials

One award-winning animated (lyric) music video ‘Fall Back Down‘ was for the artist SOFI K. I directed and created the animated video myself, based on a written synopsis from the client.
