Breaking news: Apply to object to Meta AI training on your data!

Al at Meta just started sending out emails mentioning that you can manually apply to object from Meta AI from using your data to train Meta AI. See my screenshot below, where they confirm that they “will honour your objection”:

Image shows that “we will honor your objection”. So clearly, without objecting manually, logging in by your email, and entering your optional “please tell us…” message, they will use your data for training by default. I.e. auto “opt-in” if you don’t object.

If you read the text above the confirmation pop-up, they also mention that they “may still process information about you to develop and improve AI at Meta”, even if you object. The problem is also that there doesn’t seem to be a setting for objecting, only this manual application process to object.
