Something I’ve always found annoying; is the lack of certain common symbols on the keyboard. Many of you will know this; but still I figured this could help some people.

Hi. I’m an After effects user living in Iran. because of low educational level and really really slow internet speed i don’t have any way to learn Adobe After Effects. i can’t describe how much i love After Effects and any other software related to visual FX. i try to stay awake at nights to be able to download web tutorials. this is the only way i can learn a few things. i rally want to know what sources do you use to learn After Effects? how do you learn it? how much you learn while experimenting and during the work and so many questions. i really need to talk to someone who know about after effects a lot. i tried to leave comments for Andrew Kramer and Aharon Rabinowitz but no body sow my comments between thousands of thanks and congratulations, i wish i have a chance here.

    Hi Iman,

I learned by books; videos and experimenting; but also since you have slow internet; I would recommend you get a training book on After Effects. There are many good ones on Amazon. If you want I can name a few; but check reviews on them.

by the way I’m also pretty hard working and try to download tutorials if you know any website that provides tutorial about AE, or 3Ds Max i like to know.
these are the websites i visit the most.

    VideoCopilot.net
    RedGiantSoftware.com
    CreativeCow.net
    Maltaannon.com
    Ae.Tutsplus.com
    Filmmakeriq.com

and recently sundstedt.se (and a lot more.)
all the above sites are perfect and I’ve learned a lot from them. internet speed is low here but there is always a way in, i just download them using a Flash video downloader and watch them on my PC.
thanks for replying my Comment, i wish i have chance to talk to you more at sundstedt.se.
